All this belongs in your bag when you go to the sauna or spa!
Packing list for the sauna. Do you know this? You go to the sauna, look in your bag and realize that something is missing. Now that you’re there, you don’t want to go back home and get the e-book reader, for example. But what to do? All right, a magazine, but that’s not so great either. The remedy is a packing list. This probably sounds a bit stuffy now, but it helps immensely. Make a list of all the things you’ll need in the sauna – and check them off as you pack. We’ve got a few suggestions for what to put on the list. If you want to go straight to the list, you can find it at the end of the article.
Financial preparation for your sauna day
First, sauna costs entrance fee, you can’t avoid it. That’s why you should have your wallet pocketed. And of course, it should contain either money or your debit card. If you want to drink something in the sauna, you should also pack some small change. Because you can’t pay without cash in all baths.
Hygiene articles that should not be missing
Before going to the sauna, take a thorough shower. Of course, you should have shower gel and hair shampoo with you. For afterward a deodorant makes itself well in your bag. After all, you don’t want to stink. The ladies please remember to pack a brush, and the gentlemen put a comb in their bag. This is especially important if you have something to do after the sauna. If in doubt, you should still have a small hairdryer with you. Just in case, everyone in the changing area is occupied.
Let’s talk about towels. You should take three of them with you. One to sit on in the sauna. One to dry off after a bath in the whirlpool and one to leave in the cabin. You use it to dry off before you go.
Here’s another paragraph especially for the ladies of creation. Please remember tampons, just in case. Depending on how long your mane is, you should have hair ties with you. To make sure you’re ready for anything after the sauna, don’t forget your makeup kit. And just in case: Pack tissues. You never know what you might need them for.
Clothing and accessories for a comfortable sauna visit
Off to the closet. It’s a good idea to pack a bathrobe for your stay in the sauna. And don’t forget your change of clothes. Underwear is especially important. After all, there is nothing better than fresh clothes after a long sauna bath. And remember to pack a pair of slippers. On the one hand, they protect against athlete’s foot. For another, it’s just more comfortable to stroll around the outdoor facilities in shoes, especially in winter.
Important base for the visit to the thermal bath
Yes, now it’s getting uppity. But remember your driver’s license, for example. Especially if you are going to the sauna facility by car. You should also have your health insurance card with you. You never know what might happen. Last but not least, make sure you have your ID card in your wallet. You will not have to identify yourself. But, as I said, if something happens, you’ll be glad you have it with you. Here’s another hint: If you have a membership card for a sauna club, it should of course be in your pocket.
Technical gadgets for relaxation and pleasure
Like technology in the sauna? Well, you don’t necessarily need the things we’re going to list now. But they are “nice to have”, especially if you are planning a long day in the sauna facility. An e-book reader, for example, is a particularly good idea. These are also available in waterproof. It will also serve you well during the recovery periods. If you like, you can also take an MP3 player with you, a waterproof one, of course. And remember to pack your cell phone. You won’t need it during the sauna. But it will come in handy afterward.
Snacks and drinks for in-between times
We don’t need to mention that you should take a bag with you, do we? It’s best to take a robust sports bag that can also get wet. Spectacle wearers, please think of these. Even if you prefer contact lenses, you should make sure that they are on board. Earplugs are also a good idea in your sauna luggage. They will protect you from annoying snoring in the quiet areas.
Routine helps
Sure, most things have to come out of the bag after the sauna bath. After all, they are wet. But some things you can already leave in the bag. That way, packing goes faster. Maybe you can manage to pack a kind of sauna emergency kit. A bag that already has all the important items – including dry towels. Then you can simply pack it and head for the bathroom. It’s easier if you buy travel-size cosmetics. They don’t cost a lot of money and you don’t have to raid your bathroom cabinet before every sauna session.
